From the mechanical tapping of a typewriter, to the gentle symphony of pigeons, street performances can have many different mediums and languages. Although people stop and observer the performances, there are those who simply ignore them. This is unfortunate considering the variety of talented artists who earn their living off their work, which is often unrecognized. With a style similar to Chris Marker's La Jetee, my project, A Thousand Concrete Miles, creates a disconnect between visual and audio allowing viewers to put equal emphasis on both. This allows audiences to explore the different kinds of poetry, depth, and excitement these performances evoke
